Community Websites by e-CBD
In addition to the commercial websites we produce for clients, e-CBD maintains and sponsors quite a number of non-profit community websites, either as part of organisations we belong to (such as IT Gold Coast and the Gold Coast Music Industry Association), or as side-projects for staff.
One of the most popular community sites we maintain is Australian Short Films.com — a free online showcase for emerging Australian film makers, and keeping the arts vibe alive is our Ear Medicine website — a community of music reviewers and music fans.
Our Queensland portals, such as Gold Coast Australia .com and Brisbane Australia .com provide a valuable tourist information resource for their regions and allow local community members to discuss local issues in their forums and advertise products and services in their relevant classifieds sections. Our local business directories, such as Gold Coast Directory .com, provide small local businesses an opportunity to get valuable publicity and reach their market — totally free of charge.
We also have a long history if running profitable portals of our own and our experience building usable sites which generate revenue across a broad range of industries means we have the practical knowledge of what makes sites work to back up our design prowess. Other sites we run include:
- WotToDo.com.au - The largest online guide to things to do in Australia
- Postcardz.com.au - An Australian Travel Guide
- Bloomin' Lovely - An Australian Florist Directory
- Australian Shares.com - An ASX Forum and Guide to Australian Companies
- Who Needs Agents.com.au - A free real estate for sale by owner website
In all, e-CBD sponsors more than 50 non-profit community sites and half a dozen travel portals which generate revenue for the local tourism industries at a rate of millions of dollars and millions of visitors each year.
If you'd like more information on e-CBD's community websites, or if you're a non-profit organisation looking for sponsorship for your site (we often build sites for free for worthy causes, it's our way of giving back to the community) please contact us — we'd be happy to talk.
